Are You Internet Kind? Or are You a CyberBully?

The online world can be a wonderful way to connect with family, friends and those who have similar interests and beliefs, but Internet bullies, these unhappy, miserable trolls who hide behind their keyboard are real! The lengths in which they would go for clout, to feel that buzz, to feel powerful is rather disturbing. They derive great pleasure from hurting, taunting, tormenting, crippling, denigrating people for the enjoyment of others online. Bullies usually have a low self-esteem and try to boost their own self-worth by putting others down; they may appear strong and in control but from the inside most of them feel insecure, inadequate and inferior. To feel better about themselves, they try to project it onto others. Cyberbullying hurts people, and in some cases is against the law. People need to consider the consequences of posting, commenting or forwarding something that might hurt someone else, because what you post on the internet could come back to haunt you later on. So before you hit the send button, take into consideration the impact of your words, ask yourself if the message being sent could be interpreted in any way hurtful, negative, or objectionable. Parents, talk to your children about internet bullying and how to be internet KIND; How to use the internet as a platform to spread POSITIVITY instead of negativity. Essentially, it is more important to always remember to model the behavior you want your children to replicate.

Baked Chicken

Baked Chicken | Simple Meal Ideas | Cooking Tips       No recipe today, however this is today's cooking tips and a simple meal idea:   Baking Chicken tips:   Rinse the chicken and pat it dry before baking. Once you remove the chicken from its package, rinse it under cool water in the sink (note: always sanitize your sink with disinfectant afterward). Next, pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture will ensure you get extra crispy skin.   To reduce fat and calories, you can skin chicken legs.  Prepare all ingredients and preheat the oven to 400°F.   Spices: I like to use cumin, onion (grated) garlic (grated), paprika, celery powder, cayenne pepper and dried thyme if you have. Please make sure they are fresh! Spices are delicious, but a stale spice can easily ruin a dish. However, you are free to try different spice combinations.   The secret to making them crispy? Don't bake the chi...

One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time      Working out takes courage and self-motivation. It’s not always about losing weight — for me, it's about staying healthy, strong, and grateful that I can move. Whether it's Taekwondo or Zumba, my goal is the same: to stay active, to keep my energy flowing, and to enjoy the process — no stress, no pressure, just one day at a time. At my age, it may be harder to see quick results, but that doesn’t stop me. I focus on progress, not perfection. Some days, I don’t even want to leave the house — but that's when I give myself that little pep talk, reminding myself why I'm doing this. And once I start, no matter how tough the session gets, I’m always grateful I showed up. Because being able to move, stretch, kick, and dance is a blessing — health is true wealth. Every workout is a victory over excuses, a reminder that I am stronger than my doubts. Progress may be slow, but as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Slowly but surely — I’m building s...
