Dear Parents | Stop Assuming Your Child Is Okay

Dear parents you need to be proactive in your children's lives. We cannot assume everything is okay. Don't wait for problems to arise before getting involved. Do not be oblivious to what is happening in your children's lives or in the world around them. There is no such thing as being too tired for your children. Make time for them. Listen attentively. Ask questions. Stay involved. Stay aware. Protect your children, and more importantly show them love. Dear Parents: Be the kind of parent your child feels safe talking to and trusting. If they cannot trust you, they may place that trust in the wrong people, potentially leading them down a dark road. Dear Parents: Please do not take bullying lightly. Bullying can affect a child's sense of safety, mental health, emotional well-being, and academic performance; leaving emotional scars that may last for years. Teach your children that bullying is wrong, and if they are being bullied, that violence is not the answer, no matter what the circumstances may be. Children are more likely to emulate what they see than follow what they are told. Therefore, we cannot instill values in our children if our own actions contradict them. Encourage them to document incidents, injustices, speak to trusted adults, and seek help through the appropriate channels. Strength is not found in hurting others. True strength is found in character, wisdom, and knowing how to respond without becoming what hurt you in the first place. #dearparents #children #parentingtips #childsafety #familyvalues #protectourchildren

Baked Chicken

Baked Chicken | Simple Meal Ideas | Cooking Tips       No recipe today, however this is today's cooking tips and a simple meal idea:   Baking Chicken tips:   Rinse the chicken and pat it dry before baking. Once you remove the chicken from its package, rinse it under cool water in the sink (note: always sanitize your sink with disinfectant afterward). Next, pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture will ensure you get extra crispy skin.   To reduce fat and calories, you can skin chicken legs.  Prepare all ingredients and preheat the oven to 400°F.   Spices: I like to use cumin, onion (grated) garlic (grated), paprika, celery powder, cayenne pepper and dried thyme if you have. Please make sure they are fresh! Spices are delicious, but a stale spice can easily ruin a dish. However, you are free to try different spice combinations.   The secret to making them crispy? Don't bake the chi...

One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time      Working out takes courage and self-motivation. It’s not always about losing weight — for me, it's about staying healthy, strong, and grateful that I can move. Whether it's Taekwondo or Zumba, my goal is the same: to stay active, to keep my energy flowing, and to enjoy the process — no stress, no pressure, just one day at a time. At my age, it may be harder to see quick results, but that doesn’t stop me. I focus on progress, not perfection. Some days, I don’t even want to leave the house — but that's when I give myself that little pep talk, reminding myself why I'm doing this. And once I start, no matter how tough the session gets, I’m always grateful I showed up. Because being able to move, stretch, kick, and dance is a blessing — health is true wealth. Every workout is a victory over excuses, a reminder that I am stronger than my doubts. Progress may be slow, but as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Slowly but surely — I’m building s...
