Coffee, Nature & Slow Living in the French Countryside | Countryside Diaries Ep. 2

Coffee, Nature & Slow Living in the French Countryside | Countryside Diaries Ep. 2

Welcome to another day in the French countryside. 🌿☕ Join me as I slow down and enjoy life's simple pleasures—from my morning coffee and a wholesome oatmeal breakfast to preparing lunch, spending time with my cat Gaïa, watering my plants, admiring butterflies dancing around the lavender, and making time for painting. Life isn't always about rushing from one task to the next. Sometimes the most beautiful moments are found in the ordinary—the quiet mornings, home-cooked meals, nature's little surprises, and taking time to create. I hope this vlog brings you a moment of peace, inspiration, or simply a reason to slow down with me. If you enjoy cozy countryside living, simple home cooking, gardening, art, nature, and authentic lifestyle vlogs, I'd love for you to subscribe and become part of the ChezTropic family.

Until next time, take care, enjoy the little things in life, and I'll see you in the next Countryside Diaries. 💜

Baked Chicken

Baked Chicken | Simple Meal Ideas | Cooking Tips       No recipe today, however this is today's cooking tips and a simple meal idea:   Baking Chicken tips:   Rinse the chicken and pat it dry before baking. Removing excess moisture will ensure you get extra crispy skin.   To reduce fat and calories, you can skin chicken legs.  Prepare all ingredients and preheat the oven to 400°F.   Spices: I like to use cumin, onion (grated) garlic (grated), paprika, celery powder, cayenne pepper and dried thyme if you have. Please make sure they are fresh! Spices are delicious, but a stale spice can easily ruin a dish. However, you are free to try different spice combinations.   The secret to making them crispy? Don't bake the chi...

One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time      Working out takes courage and self-motivation. It’s not always about losing weight — for me, it's about staying healthy, strong, and grateful that I can move. Whether it's Taekwondo or Zumba, my goal is the same: to stay active, to keep my energy flowing, and to enjoy the process — no stress, no pressure, just one day at a time. At my age, it may be harder to see quick results, but that doesn’t stop me. I focus on progress, not perfection. Some days, I don’t even want to leave the house — but that's when I give myself that little pep talk, reminding myself why I'm doing this. And once I start, no matter how tough the session gets, I’m always grateful I showed up. Because being able to move, stretch, kick, and dance is a blessing — health is true wealth. Every workout is a victory over excuses, a reminder that I am stronger than my doubts. Progress may be slow, but as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Slowly but surely — I’m building s...
