Ras Kairo the Lion-Sighted | Go Where Your Spirit Is Welcomed

Ras Kairo the Lion-Sighted | Go Where Your Spirit Is Welcomed

Listen now…
For a man must know where his spirit is welcomed,
and where his presence is only endured.
Do not force your footsteps into places
that reject the rhythm of your soul.

When people cannot see the truth of who you are,
your spirit begins to shrink,
your light grows restless,
and your strength is quietly forgotten.

Remember this:
a seed cannot grow in cold soil…
and a lion does not linger
where he is not respected.
Not out of fear —
but because he knows his worth.

So hear me well:
never force yourself where your soul feels unwelcome.
Go where your presence is honored,
where your voice is truly heard,
where the air feels light,
and your spirit can breathe wide again.

Rejection is not always a wound…
sometimes it is a compass,
pointing you back toward the places
meant for your becoming.

And know this truth:
the path that is truly yours
will never demand that you beg for space.

Walk as the lion walks —
steady, bold,
moving only toward the places
that rise to meet your footsteps…
toward the ground shaped for your purpose.

Baked Chicken

Baked Chicken | Simple Meal Ideas | Cooking Tips       No recipe today, however this is today's cooking tips and a simple meal idea:   Baking Chicken tips:   Rinse the chicken and pat it dry before baking. Once you remove the chicken from its package, rinse it under cool water in the sink (note: always sanitize your sink with disinfectant afterward). Next, pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture will ensure you get extra crispy skin.   To reduce fat and calories, you can skin chicken legs.  Prepare all ingredients and preheat the oven to 400°F.   Spices: I like to use cumin, onion (grated) garlic (grated), paprika, celery powder, cayenne pepper and dried thyme if you have. Please make sure they are fresh! Spices are delicious, but a stale spice can easily ruin a dish. However, you are free to try different spice combinations.   The secret to making them crispy? Don't bake the chi...

One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time      Working out takes courage and self-motivation. It’s not always about losing weight — for me, it's about staying healthy, strong, and grateful that I can move. Whether it's Taekwondo or Zumba, my goal is the same: to stay active, to keep my energy flowing, and to enjoy the process — no stress, no pressure, just one day at a time. At my age, it may be harder to see quick results, but that doesn’t stop me. I focus on progress, not perfection. Some days, I don’t even want to leave the house — but that's when I give myself that little pep talk, reminding myself why I'm doing this. And once I start, no matter how tough the session gets, I’m always grateful I showed up. Because being able to move, stretch, kick, and dance is a blessing — health is true wealth. Every workout is a victory over excuses, a reminder that I am stronger than my doubts. Progress may be slow, but as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Slowly but surely — I’m building s...
