Countryside Diaries Ep. 3 | Slow Living, Homemade Meals & Peaceful Moments in France

Come spend another peaceful day with me in the French countryside as we slow down and appreciate life's simple pleasures.

 In today's vlog:
☕ We begin the morning with a warm cup of coffee.
๐ŸŒฟ Enjoy quiet moments outdoors surrounded by nature.
๐Ÿˆ Gaรฏa, my little helper, makes her daily appearance.
๐ŸŽธ Relax to the sound of my husband playing guitar in the garden.
๐Ÿฅ• I prepare a refreshing carrot-infused water as part of my healthy routine. ๐Ÿฝ️
Cook a hearty, wholesome meal that might inspire your next lunch or dinner.
๐Ÿ“– Take a quiet moment to journal while listening to the birds sing.
๐ŸŒฑ End the day as we care for the garden together.

Life doesn't have to be extraordinary to be meaningful. Sometimes the greatest joy is found in the little moments we often overlook. I hope this video brings you a little peace, inspiration, and encouragement to slow down and enjoy the beauty around you.

If you enjoy slow living, countryside life, healthy meals, gardening, nature, art, and authentic lifestyle vlogs, I'd love to have you join the ChezTropic family.

Until next time, take care, enjoy the little things in life, and I'll see you in the next Countryside Diaries. ๐Ÿ’œ

Baked Chicken

Baked Chicken | Simple Meal Ideas | Cooking Tips       No recipe today, however this is today's cooking tips and a simple meal idea:   Baking Chicken tips:   Rinse the chicken and pat it dry before baking. Once you remove the chicken from its package, rinse it under cool water in the sink (note: always sanitize your sink with disinfectant afterward). Next, pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture will ensure you get extra crispy skin.   To reduce fat and calories, you can skin chicken legs.  Prepare all ingredients and preheat the oven to 400°F.   Spices: I like to use cumin, onion (grated) garlic (grated), paprika, celery powder, cayenne pepper and dried thyme if you have. Please make sure they are fresh! Spices are delicious, but a stale spice can easily ruin a dish. However, you are free to try different spice combinations.   The secret to making them crispy? Don't bake the chi...

One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time      Working out takes courage and self-motivation. It’s not always about losing weight — for me, it's about staying healthy, strong, and grateful that I can move. Whether it's Taekwondo or Zumba, my goal is the same: to stay active, to keep my energy flowing, and to enjoy the process — no stress, no pressure, just one day at a time. At my age, it may be harder to see quick results, but that doesn’t stop me. I focus on progress, not perfection. Some days, I don’t even want to leave the house — but that's when I give myself that little pep talk, reminding myself why I'm doing this. And once I start, no matter how tough the session gets, I’m always grateful I showed up. Because being able to move, stretch, kick, and dance is a blessing — health is true wealth. Every workout is a victory over excuses, a reminder that I am stronger than my doubts. Progress may be slow, but as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Slowly but surely — I’m building s...
