French Countryside Diaries Ep. 4 | Healthy Living & Peaceful Moments in the French Countryside

Welcome back to French Countryside Diaries!☕๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒ…

Join me for another peaceful day in the French countryside as we slow down and enjoy the simple moments that make life so meaningful.

In today's episode:

We begin the morning with a quiet cup of coffee.

I prepare a refreshing carrot-infused drink as part of my healthy routine.

We spend time outdoors surrounded by nature and the soothing sounds of birdsong.

A little movement with planks and dumbbells reminds us that small, consistent habits make a difference.

I prepare a wholesome dinner of baked fish with boiled zucchini and carrots—a simple meal you might like to try.

After lunch, we freshen up the terrace with a little power washing before taking time to admire the butterflies dancing around the butterfly bush.

As the day comes to an end, we enjoy another beautiful countryside sunset. Life isn't about rushing from one task to the next. Sometimes the greatest joy is found in slowing down, appreciating nature, caring for our homes, and being grateful for the ordinary moments that make each day special.

Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me. If you enjoy slow living, countryside life, healthy meals, gardening, nature, and peaceful lifestyle vlogs, I'd love to have you join the ChezTropic family by subscribing.

Until next time, take care, enjoy the little things in life, and I'll see you in the next Countryside Diaries. ๐Ÿ’œ

Baked Chicken

Baked Chicken | Simple Meal Ideas | Cooking Tips       No recipe today, however this is today's cooking tips and a simple meal idea:   Baking Chicken tips:   Rinse the chicken and pat it dry before baking. Once you remove the chicken from its package, rinse it under cool water in the sink (note: always sanitize your sink with disinfectant afterward). Next, pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture will ensure you get extra crispy skin.   To reduce fat and calories, you can skin chicken legs.  Prepare all ingredients and preheat the oven to 400°F.   Spices: I like to use cumin, onion (grated) garlic (grated), paprika, celery powder, cayenne pepper and dried thyme if you have. Please make sure they are fresh! Spices are delicious, but a stale spice can easily ruin a dish. However, you are free to try different spice combinations.   The secret to making them crispy? Don't bake the chi...

One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time      Working out takes courage and self-motivation. It’s not always about losing weight — for me, it's about staying healthy, strong, and grateful that I can move. Whether it's Taekwondo or Zumba, my goal is the same: to stay active, to keep my energy flowing, and to enjoy the process — no stress, no pressure, just one day at a time. At my age, it may be harder to see quick results, but that doesn’t stop me. I focus on progress, not perfection. Some days, I don’t even want to leave the house — but that's when I give myself that little pep talk, reminding myself why I'm doing this. And once I start, no matter how tough the session gets, I’m always grateful I showed up. Because being able to move, stretch, kick, and dance is a blessing — health is true wealth. Every workout is a victory over excuses, a reminder that I am stronger than my doubts. Progress may be slow, but as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Slowly but surely — I’m building s...
