Banana cake recipe.

Ingredients:

2 cups all purpose flour

2 eggs beaten

140g butter softened, plus extra for the loaf pan

1 teaspoon baking powder

1teaspoon baking soda

3 ripe bananas mashed

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup white sugar.

1/2 teaspoon salt

160 ml milk or 10 tablespoons

Honey

Sliced bananas about 10 slices

Food colouring

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 180C or 350 degrees F

Grease the loaf pan with butter (or line with baking paper).

Add the sifted flour to a bowl, whisk in the baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.

Cut a banana into some slices, add, a colouring of your choice; I used red on a few slices, yellow on another set and some without colouring as well. Set aside.

Break the eggs into a mixing bowl. Add the melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract and mix.

Then add mashed bananas and whisk until combined.

Add dry ingredients that was set aside.

Add milk, and mix on low, but do not overmix. A few lumps in the batter is okay. Pour into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing out with the back of the spoon.

Bake for 40 minutes, then remove from the oven and add the banana slices that were set aside.

Add honey to each banana slice.

Put back in the oven and bake for about 15 - 20 mins until it is golden on top and a knife or skewer comes out clean.

Baking times vary, so keep an eye on yours.

Remove the cake from the oven and set on a wire rack. Allow to cool completely for about 10 -15 minutes and then turn out carefully. Enjoy

 Bon appétit

A stroll along the beach; a great way to unwind, get inspired and enjoy a sunset. There is magic all around, the high flying shore birds, the hammocks in the ocean, the beautiful flowers, palm trees, the sound of gently lapping waves, the reflection of the sunlight on the ocean, a magnificent sunset, the sensation of the wind blowing through my hair so invigorating and pleasurable. I am intoxicated by the wonder of it all and being alive is truly a blessing and a beautiful thing.  Swing seats with a view of the Sunset . Let's Move and Motivate part 2

LET'S MOVE AND MOTIVATE part 2     We have to keep moving for a healthy lifestyle, whether it be through dancing, martial arts, walking, yoga, swimming, hiking, gardening, we just have to keep moving. While a little rest and relaxation is fine, living a completely sedentary life can be dangerous for our health. Hence the reason increasing our physical activity at any age can help lower your risk factors for serious health conditions.  Our metabolisms naturally slow over time, therefore, moving/exercise increases our metabolic rate, otherwise known as your metabolism.  Let's stay active, LET'S MOVE to maintain a healthy lifestyle and metabolism at any age. I love dancing, martial arts, cooking and gardening. What do you enjoy doing to stay active?  You do not have to be a dancer to dance. Put on your favourite music and LET'S MOVE AND MOTIVATE.
