 Tom’s Turning Point:

 

Tom had always taken pride in his work. He showed up early, stayed late, and never gave less than his best. When he was promoted, it wasn’t luck, it was earned. But instead of support, he was met with resentment. His coworkers, often late and distracted, whispered behind his back, spread lies to the boss, and made the atmosphere unbearable. 

Frustrated and drained, Tom was ready to quit. The weight of jealousy and sabotage was too much. But before handing in his resignation, he opened up to his father. 

Standing by the window that afternoon, his father listened calmly, then looked him in the eye and said: "Son, people often hate because they’re battling something within themselves. Their cruelty reflects their own pain, not your worth. Let their bitterness be your motivation. It’s not about you; it’s about them." 

Those words shifted something in Tom. He chose to stay; not for them, but for himself. He worked harder, stayed focused, and let his growth speak louder than their gossip. And in doing so, he proved that integrity always rises above envy.
