Lily and Daisy Adventures: The Lost Cat 🐾

Lily and Daisy Adventures: The Lost Cat 🐾

Lily and Daisy loved going on little adventures together. One bright and sunny morning, they rode their bikes down a flower-filled path, their baskets bouncing gently in front of them. Daisy smiled as her orange cat, Milo, usually curled up happily in her basket. But today felt a little different. Daisy glanced down—and gasped. “Milo isn’t here!” she cried. Her basket was empty. Lily quickly stopped her bike. “Don’t worry, Daisy,” she said gently. “We’ll find him together.” Daisy nodded, though her eyes were wide with worry. “He must have jumped out!” So the two best friends began their search, walking their bikes slowly along the winding path. They looked behind trees, under bushes, and along the grassy edges of the trail. Birds chirped above them, and the wind whispered through the leaves. Suddenly, Lily pointed. “Look, Daisy!” There was Milo—high up in a tree! He had climbed onto a branch and was staring curiously at a small bird’s nest. “Oh no!” Daisy said. “Milo, come down!” Lily placed her hands on her hips. “We can’t let him bother the birds.” Lily tried to coax Milo gently. “Here, kitty, kitty… come on down!” Daisy held out her arms. “Milo, please!” After a moment, Milo meowed softly… then carefully climbed down the tree and jumped into Daisy’s arms. Daisy hugged him tightly. “I was so worried!” She turned to Lily, smiling with relief. “Thank you for helping me find Milo.” Lily grinned. “That’s what friends are for.” After their big adventure, Lily and Daisy hopped back onto their bicycles, with Dino and Milo safely nestled in their baskets. They pedaled side by side toward home, their houses just across the sunny field, chatting and smiling the whole way. In Daisy’s backyard, they laid out a picnic blanket. There were fresh fruits, juice, and plenty of giggles. Milo and Dino sat nearby, while the girls laughed and shared their snacks, happy and tired from their adventure. And as the sun began to set, Daisy smiled at her best friend. Because no matter what happened, she knew one thing for sure— Adventures were always better with Lily. 💛

Baked Chicken

Baked Chicken | Simple Meal Ideas | Cooking Tips       No recipe today, however this is today's cooking tips and a simple meal idea:   Baking Chicken tips:   Rinse the chicken and pat it dry before baking. Once you remove the chicken from its package, rinse it under cool water in the sink (note: always sanitize your sink with disinfectant afterward). Next, pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture will ensure you get extra crispy skin.   To reduce fat and calories, you can skin chicken legs.  Prepare all ingredients and preheat the oven to 400°F.   Spices: I like to use cumin, onion (grated) garlic (grated), paprika, celery powder, cayenne pepper and dried thyme if you have. Please make sure they are fresh! Spices are delicious, but a stale spice can easily ruin a dish. However, you are free to try different spice combinations.   The secret to making them crispy? Don't bake the chi...

One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time      Working out takes courage and self-motivation. It’s not always about losing weight — for me, it's about staying healthy, strong, and grateful that I can move. Whether it's Taekwondo or Zumba, my goal is the same: to stay active, to keep my energy flowing, and to enjoy the process — no stress, no pressure, just one day at a time. At my age, it may be harder to see quick results, but that doesn’t stop me. I focus on progress, not perfection. Some days, I don’t even want to leave the house — but that's when I give myself that little pep talk, reminding myself why I'm doing this. And once I start, no matter how tough the session gets, I’m always grateful I showed up. Because being able to move, stretch, kick, and dance is a blessing — health is true wealth. Every workout is a victory over excuses, a reminder that I am stronger than my doubts. Progress may be slow, but as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Slowly but surely — I’m building s...
